I want you to go to your happy place.

Are you there?

I need you to think of the most wonderful thing imaginable.

Now add Ben & Jerry's ice cream, Zac Efron, and a unicorn.

Welcome to MY happy place.

I brought you here so that you can get an idea of how I felt when I discovered the video I'm about to share (thank you Rachel Adams!). So you remember that 30 second Jimmy Kimmel promo I was creaming my pants over in my last post? Well, turns out it was only part of a nearly 10 minute sketch that ran on Kimmel's post-Oscar show last night -- The Handsome Men's Club.

There's some serous star power in this thing: John Krasinski, Patrick Dempsey, Gilles Marini, Josh Hartnett, Sting, Rob Lowe, Ted Danson (via AIM), Ethan Hawke, Keith Urban, Matthew McConaughey, Ben Affleck, Tony Romo, Taye Diggs, Lenny Kravitz, Matt Damon, and a girl...Jennifer Garner.

Now I'm not all that surprised by the good showing of ABC dudes (Patrick, Gilles, Rob, Taye), but what about the other guys? How does something like this get pulled off? No, really. I want to know.

Here are a couple teaser-shots. You get the video after the jump.

It features Affleck in bed with Kimmel AND Jennifer Garner, because "everyone wants to got to bed with Jimmy." I love celebrities who don't take themselves too seriously! I also got a kick out of Ben and Jimmy wearing matching pajamas, and I'm pretty sure "Big Handsome" is my new favorite term of endearment. Future luvahs take note.

Let me repeat, Kathy Griffin was in ALASKA last week. I love how she's become besties with Levi Johnston. She spent the day with him in Wasilla (she tweeted about it), and he even escorted her onstage for her show at the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts.

I have his "Playgirl" magazine, did I tell you? I made my friend Shauna buy it for me because I was too embarrassed to do it myself. Barnes & Noble had it in the "women's interest" section of the magazine stand, and I can tell you with absolute certainty that nothing in that magazine was done with the interests of women in mind. I especially liked the photo spread of "NYC's Hottest Bartenders," because the first guy up is totally a gay porn star (referring to the type of work he does - I'm not sure of his actual sexuality). In fairness, the copy did say that he had done some "modeling" -- their quotes -- prior to the "Playgirl" shoot, but still. [The "bartender" -- my quotes -- goes by David Taylor. I'm not gonna link to anything, but if you want to take a look, just add "porn" and do a Google search.] I'm just impressed that a Levi Johnston photo shoot got the magazine back into print after the magazine went web-only in early 2009 (here's an article about the transition from the NY Times). I read somewhere that Ronnie from the first season of "Make Me A Supermodel" might be posing for an upcoming issue. If there's a way to pre-order that magazine, let me know.

I just got really, really off course. Back to Kathy in Alaska. So she was there to shoot some stuff for the next season of "My Life on the D List" and she also made time for a book signing. As soon as I heard the news, I asked my little sister to get her autograph for me (um, and buy the book), and she totally did it. At least I think she did. She sent me a text that said "Mission Accomplished" with a blurry photo of Kathy in a bookstore. What a great little sister, huh? I can totally imagine this exchange between my sister and one of her friends: Friend - "So what are you doing this Friday?" My Sister - "Getting Kathy Griffin's autograph for my gay big brother." [awkward silence all around]

I'll let you know if I actually get the book. It'll go in the trunk where I keep my autographed copy of Barbara Walters's book.

So I've got some video of her show in Alaska (God bless The Huffington Post). I wish I could here her whole set, but I'll take what I get can. This video, which was taken from the audience, is about five minutes of her going at Sarah Palin. LOVE IT. Kathy calls her the "Britney Spears of politics." Again, LOVE IT.

So I think I found my latest time suck guilty pleasure: "If I Can Dream". It's a creature that lives online. Five young people follow their dreams to LA - old story, right? The twist is that the house they're living in is fitted with over fifty cameras that broadcast their lives 24/7. Live. Unedited. At least that's the plan.

I'd really like to know what the house rules are. Based on the quick apologies and embarrassed faces that followed the few expletives I've heard slip, I'm guessing they have some behavior guidelines. Earlier this morning, Ben, whose dream is to be an actor, dropped an F-bomb while trying to load the dishwasher. "Sorry mom." It was kinda cute.

Last night was their first living in the house, and even though they just got back from a multi-country press tour, you can tell they're still adjusting to their new reality. They're getting calls and texts from family who let them know what they can see (Ben's mom heard him snoring last night). This morning they wanted to go grocery shopping - producers called the house phone to let them know they couldn't all go at once. A bit later, the scroll bar that sits at the bottom of the screen had an update: "Watch Ben, Justin and Amanda take the Ford Fiesta shopping today at 12:30 pm ET." Ford, as you might have guessed, is a sponsor (along with Hulu, Clear Channel, MySpace and Pepsi). I heard a Quaker oatmeal shout-out this morning in the kitchen - Quaker is a Pepsico brand. In that way it really reminds me of The Truman Show. I liked it when the people around Truman would randomly go into commercial/product placement mode.

I've got a lot more to say about the project...after the jump.

</rss:item><rss:item rdf:about="http://www.teablogging.com/blog/2010/3/3/boys-cats.html"><rss:title>Boys + Cats</rss:title><rss:link>http://www.teablogging.com/blog/2010/3/3/boys-cats.html</rss:link>

<dc:subject>Blogjob Boys + Cats Internets Tea Porn-ish dudes kittens</dc:subject>

Mikey!
