Ever since I heard "Adventures in Solitude" on Ugly Betty, The New Pornographers' album Challengers has been getting nonstop airplay in my abode. But this exquisite initial tune is still the song I come back to most often. - Mikey

Photo a Day

Dear Jordan - Just in case you were wondering what's been up with all the new photos being added to our Flickr feed each day, well, I am here to answer your burning question. In reality, neither you nor anyone else has probably noticed, but I shall pretend my life is actually important to anyone other than myself and share. :)

The short of it is my friend Gwynne told me about how she decided to take a photo each day to chart her year. I was instantly on board. Let me tell ya, it's only been a few days and it's one of the best decisions I've ever made. I am using to stay connected with Chris (he's doing his own "photo journey" as well) and to have something memorable and permanent to remind me, always, how important not only every year is, but every day.

For the intrigued, there is a community on Facebook you can join. I am not a member, since I am utilizing Flickr instead (see the Flickr feed to the right), but it's a great way to stay connected with friends and to see what other people's lives consist of, day-by-day.

Thanks for the background re: the Flickr updates. I did, in fact, notice that there was some activity there. It was pretty hard not to notice the bright red Coke logo a few days back. I think taking a photo each day is a great project. I can't wait to see what comes next!
